I am an experienced Executive Nurse Leader and former CEO. I am passionate about care and support for older people and people living with frailty. I utilise an approach of person-centeredness, which is grounded in Self-Determination Theory, ensuring that the psychological needs of autonomy, competence, and relatedness are supported (Deci & Ryan, 1985, 2002; Douglas, 2018).

I am a trustee for Erskine Veterans Charity and the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care. I am the chair for Borders Care Voice and Scotland’s Community Infection Prevention & Control Group.
I am a visiting lecturer for Queen Margaret University.
